Sakana in Edmonton

Amazing food, cute environment, could use a bathroom renovation but I very much enjoyed myself.

The food is amazing. I really enjoy the food every time. The waiting staff are awesome and so is the sushi chef.

Yum. I stopped in for some take out. The service was quick and friendly. The dynamite roll was familiar but unique. Loved it! I like the atmosphere. I’ll go back for sure!

Due to Covid-19 reduced hours, I had to make many attempts to try out this place... while it was a bit frustrating; I am so glad I didn't give up becuase I just had the best Chirashi in Edmonton!!! The fishes was super fresh, the quality and quantity of the dishes for the price was unreal. The owner and staff were warm and welcoming. I cannot wait to visit next time. :)

I was very happy when I stopped here for dinner in Edmonton. I went late on a Tuesday so things weren't very busy. The couple cooking and serving were very attentive and my food was prepared in under 10 minutes. The roll I tried was delicious, tempura yam nice and crispy (though I shouldn't have eaten it all myself 😋). The green tea mochi was the only part I didn't enjoy, as the ice cream was overly sweet and had more of a goopy texture- I assume it was store bought, but it was only $2 so I'm not too freezer-burnt about it.

My favourite sushi place in Edmonton! The owners are friendly and the food is always delicious. I cannot wait until they are open for dine in again as I love sitting down and eating here. For now, takeout will do.

This is no doubt one of the best place in the region. Whenever I visit this place I am exceedingly pleased. They preserve their high standard service and the highest level of meals they give. You will be always satisfied with this place. Warmly recommended.

I ordered the lunch special. I had the rainbow roll and the salmon maki and ordered tobiko sushi as well. It was good. Prices are great. I would go back again.

Amazing. We were looking for a sushi place that we hadn't been, that was south,open later and got good reviews. It was so good and the service top notch. Very friendly. We had sashimi and it was very fresh..no fishy taste at all. We tried octopus balls and a Japanese calamari...also very nice. The rolls were perfect and so flavorful. Its hard to pick a favorite but i think it was the dragon roll and sakana roll. Top notch ..we will be back

My partner and I both agree that this is the best sushi restaurant we've been to so far. We ordered for pick up and got the chirashi(side soup), dynamite rolls, salmon rolls, salmon cone, and veggie cone. Wow is all we could say, everything was fresh and tasted great, no complaints, especially for the price of $47! We've gone to another sushi restaurant before this that was crazy expensive but not that great, but now the tables have turned. The staff were friendly, and the guy who prepared all our food was very fast and very nice as well. Everything was also displayed so organized and beautifully too (even for to-go!). Overall some of the best quality/quantity, and the best priced sushi you can get. 10/10 will buy there again.(:

Excellent value and the Uni nigiri sushi was excellent. Very comparable to what I’ve had in Vancouver. We ordered multiple appetizers, rolls, uni, and a large sashimi platter.. only $150 for 3 people. Everything was very fresh and there were quite a few creative items on the menu. Portion sizes were generous as well, especially the sashimi! Will definitely be back the next time I’m visiting Edmonton

In my opinion the best sushi you can get in Edmonton. The fish is always fresh and consistent. And being so far away from the ocean, that is a good thing! Love the staff there, and is always a pleasure to visit! Edit: They have an updated menu, with more cooked kitchen items. They are all amazing as well!

Very good service. Fresh Assorted Sashimi by using difficult seafood . This is my favourite restaurant in town.

The menu is jam packed with so many yummy selections. Reasonably priced. Unlike other Japanese restaurants, portions are huge here. Ample free parking. Great service. Definitely going back to this place again.

Had take out so always expect it to be a little lower in quality because of that. Sushi was fine for Edmonton.
